We have just returned from 3 days in Ibiza. It was an experience.
I took 2 cameras and managed to snap only about 40 (grainy and wobbly) photographs; sat in our hot tub so long that both my spray tan and nail varnish came off; had so much more fun than I expected I would; read TWO WHOLE BOOKS and really can’t wait to go back.
I missed Elfie in a way I can’t describe but had an absolute ball spending time just me and Will.
We stayed at this lovely villa near Talamanca beach in Ibiza town which had a hot tub rather than a pool which suited us perfectly. In our short trip we squeezed in DC10 and then on to Cocoon at Amnesia, then the next day a pool party where there were so many perfectly bronzed and beautiful people that I got a headache. Being lucky enough to be top-tier VIP (there are two levels of VIP. Oh yeah) at Amnesia gave us access to the most beautiful rooftop bar, where we were not so lucky to pay 20 Euros for a drink. There were five of us. This was 100 Euros a round. OMG.
We mostly ate at low-key restaurants in Ibiza town but on the last night ate at KM5 which I enjoyed, despite it apparently being incredibly passé these days.
(Courgette carpaccio – delicious)
I came away from Ibiza with around 150 mosquito bites (we counted – I even have them on the soles of my feet), from which I learned: WEAR INSECT REPELLANT. Even if you declare on the first day “you guys! I never get bitten!”. HAH, life is cruel.
In conclusion: would highly recommend, especially to people who have lots of money to burn and possibly shares in anti-mosquito lotion.
