A #HomesenseFinds Interiors Haul

Moving into our new house last December was a bit of a mistake. Packing up our lives and hauling every single thing we own 5 miles southwards six days before Christmas kind of put a removal box-shaped dampener on the whole festive season and meant my initial re-decorating strategy was a little bit stilted.

Ten months on and we’re incredibly settled here. There are still a couple of bits and bobs outstanding – the kid’s bedroom is a never-ending battle of suitable storage – but overall I’m really proud of our progress. The pink sofa has remained pristine, I’ve invigorated my bedding and my bathroom is my sanctuary. But there’s always more that can be done!

These gorgeous chairs were also available in deep blue… £100 each

When we first moved in to the new house I filled the gaps in our interiors inventory with essentials from IKEA: lamps, blankets, storage, crockery. Effectively I grabbed placeholders to ensure we’d never be too dark or cold, knowing I’d be wanting to hunt down quirkier treasures to replace them with.

Which is how I found myself in the Milton Keynes branch of Homesense last week with a shopping list clutched in my sweaty palms and a budget of £150 to work with: I was on the hunt for #HomesenseFinds!

Part of the TK Maxx family, Homesense is one of my favourite interior stores. They have an ever-rotating stock so you’ll barely see the same thing twice, and with prices up to 60% off RRP their eclectic selection really is second to none. For me they’re brilliant for so many things… blankets, cushions, rugs, lamps and crockery, for example. And the best thing is that you won’t see the items you choose on hundreds of other interior fanatics’ Instagrams (is anyone else kind of sick of the Stockholm cushion, as lovely as it is?).

Alongside the quirky treasures you’ll find here there are’s also a huge inventory of classics that every home needs. Whether it’s cotton towels, white crockery or hotel-quality bedsheets, you won’t be disappointed.

I went shopping in-store last week with a small idea of what I was after: new blankets, perhaps a couple of bits for the kitchen and some storage. After an hour my trolley was heaving with finds – unfortunately not those two gorgeous lamps above but I WANT THEM! I’m considering returning to purchase for my hallway console.HomesenseFindsSheepskin upon sheepskin upon sheepskin! Brand-name candles at around 50% off

I filmed my trip to Homesense and did a little haul; have a look to see what I bought (and how I accidentally went £30 over budget!). I’ll be back with more next week to show you how I’ve styled all my brilliant finds.

Thank you to Homesense, a store I love, for working with MTT.

So want to go to my local Homesense right now for a blanket. Can you post after photos of your new stuff in situ? Especially the loo roll obviously!

You’ve no idea what a difference those velvet hangers make!! I got mine from Home Sense though (£2.99 for 10!), they save space and make my wardrobe look so much tidier!!
You’ve made me need a Homesense fix though so I’ll be off there after the preschool run tomorrow ????

Ahh what colour did you get? I have a friend who has the turquoise ones… I think I’d like to go for pink? That has to be next on my list!

I’m a huge homsense fan. I was so pleased when they opened one in Bedford recently as I still used to travel to the Northampton one. It’s my go to place for birthday gifts for friends.
