Kris Atomic, she of ‘Chronic Bitchface‘ fame, talented illustrator and long-time internet pal has just released something so hilarious it was the only thing to make me laugh in the gloom of this weekend’s food poisoning. All I can say is: eat poultry that you have defrosted IMMEDIATELY, not the next day. Lesson learned.
Anyway, if you’re already getting a bit jaded by the Christmas gift propaganda that’s coming you’re way you will love this. I know, I know, you’re not supposed to get Bah Humbug til December but if M&S can put up Christmas displays in September then I’m allowed to whinge now.
This is for everyone who rolled their eyes at THAT Asda advert, threw a Christmas magazine across the lounge or has dealt with a tantruming child who was annoyed at not being able to open their advent calendar yet (hi, Elfie).
Oh, and if any of my family are reading, mine’s the ‘Literally a one hundred and seventy pound candle’, ‘No big deal, just a diamond ring’ or ‘Personalised stationary they’ll never use’. Thanks!
You can read Kris’s brilliant blog here (if you’re in to pretty girls and books then Model Readers is a must) or follow her on Twitter. Also, standbye for actual gift ideas next week that won’t see you bankrupt come January.
Haha, I absolutely love it. So clever and so true :)
It is, isn’t it!
Ha that is great! Have to say I like that John Lewis Christmas commercial though. Whoever does their advertising is king. Was also thinking about posting about gift ideas…I guess we are all affected! Hope you are feeling better now!
I remember last year’s JL ad and weeping like a baby each time it was on! Feeling much better thank you x
*Stamps through the idyllic scene and declares hatred for the John Lewis advert*
I have loads of Diptyque candles. They are the best. And I also have personalised letterpress stationery and I use it all the time… So perhaps I’m not the target for this parody?
;)

Having seen your letterpress stationary in the flesh I can confirm it is gorgeous! I’ve had my eye on some Smythson stationary for quite a while… shh… ;) x
Alice,
THANK YOU for introducing me to Kitty’s blog!
It’s great. *adds to RSS*
haha so so true and i must confess i am a sucker for a gift guide, despite how ridiculous many of the suggestions are xx
