Dresses For Your Holiday

After a terribly rainy Easter, I know I’m not the only one who’s Jonesing for a holiday. I’ve just booked ours – we’re returning to the mighty Mark Warner Levante resort in Greece – and I can’t wait for a bit of sun, sand and relaxation (and about time, too!).

Now our holiday time is booked it’s on to the most important part of the week, what to wear. I have a good few months to come up with my holiday wardrobe, but one thing I do know I will be taking to Greece with me is dresses. Come rain or shine you can’t beat a good dress, and that’s never truer than when you’re frolicking around a resort or city on holiday. So without further ado, here are my favourite dresses for your holiday:

The Maxi Dress
A current favourite, a Maxi Dress is perfect for a hot holiday. Covering a multitude of sins (including the Great British Sunburn), you can sling one over your swimming cossie or bikini, add a statement necklace and you’ll be good to go for dinner. Perfection! Be careful dragging that sand behind you with the maxi dress’s longness, though…

The Midi dress
Another dress that’s making an appearance in tons of fashion blogs at the moment, the midi dress hits a flattering mid-calf point. Dress up with heeled sandals or wear with flats, it suits day or night time on holiday and is a totally versatile length. Go backless for a bit of extra something at your beach-side bar!

A Mini dress
Classic and comfy on a hot holiday, the mini dress is a must. Go black or white to show off your tan, pairing with bright jewellery to dress it up, or let the dress do the speaking in a bright colour or a pattern. The dress-world is your oyster, here!

The Kaftan dress
Perfect for looking like you’ve just stepped out of a Grecian market (and funnily enough, I picked mine up at a Grecian market), the Kaftan dress fits that beach/boho vibe perfectly. Fling yours over a neon bikini for a pop of colour, or wear a Marks and Spencers slip underneath for a more understated look.
