Making The World #BetterForBaby

Babies have an incredible effect on people. I’d consider myself to be quite hardened to it – 5 years of minimal sleep will do that to a gal – but even I go all gooey around newborns.

They represent everything that is good and lovely in the world: fresh starts, love, community and cuddles. What’s not to love?

To showcase just how babies bring out the best in us all, Pampers have released a short film… turns out my heart isn’t made out of stone because I couldn’t get through it without weeping. It made me want to go and pick up my two from nursery and school and snuggle them hard.

Pampers believe there’s nothing we wouldn’t do to make the world #BetterForBaby: we all make changes to ensure our babies lives are as happy as possible. And there’s no better than to celebrate this love than at Christmas! This festive season, Pampers want to help spread the cheer by pledging to help make life #BetterForBaby in local communities.

Celebrating all that people do to ensure that babies can live their lives to the fullest, Pampers are offering five £1,000 bursaries, to help people like me and you make life #BetterForBaby in our areas.

How would I make life #BetterForBaby?

I recently read a really moving post by The Comeback Mum about pregnant life in a Women’s Refuge. Despite having a supportive extended family and a warm roof over I heads I still find the family festive cheer sometimes difficult to navigate: I can’t imagine how hard it must be around this time with a newborn in a Women’s Refuge. I’d donate my £1000 bursary to new mums in this transitional stage of life to help them buy supplies that would make their life that little bit easier.

How can you make life #BetterForBaby?

Pampers want to know exactly what you’d do to make life #BetterForBaby – tell Pampers your pledge using #BetterForBaby on Twitter to be in with a chance of winning one of five £1,000 bursaries! Visit Pampers website or search #BetterForBaby @Pampers_UK for more information. And let me know what you most love about newborns!

What a lovely video and a great campaign. There is nothing we wouldn’t do for our little ones, is there? I’d donate the £1000 bursary to First Days, the amazing charity set up by the inspirational Emma Cantrell, which helps families in need.

So nice to hear Pampers is doing some real good. We are fairly lucking the UK compared to other countries and when living in South Africa we always did as much as we could over the festive season to help support those less fortune – we still do what we can now and make a donation to a charity as a family each year

Well I am not nearly hardened to newborns as I should be. I was sitting in a cafe recently with adorable babies on both sides and my ovaries had a massive wobble. That video is lovely and as you say reminds us of how precious our ‘babies’ are no matter how big or small.
