The Best REN Products To Buy

REN is one of those solidly good skincare brands that always delivers for me. They’re not faddy, they’re not flashy, they’re simply reassuringly effective. Plus Caroline Hirons swears by the best REN products as a pocket-friendly yet effective range, and there’s no higher recommendation than that.

I first heard about them in the days before I was into skincare, in the days I would never have dreamed of letting an acid near my face. A friend who had trouble-prone skin raved over their Glycolic Radiance Renewal Mask and I remember thinking – really? How good can a face mask be? I checked out the £30ish price tag and internally chuckled at the thought of spending so much cash on a product that probably wouldn’t even work.

7 years later and that same Glycolic Radiance Renewal Mask is one of the products in my weekly arsenal: I wouldn’t be without it. And that’s not the only best REN products in my beauty cabinet, either – I use something from their range on a daily basis.

Here are my top three:

The Best REN Products

REN Flash Hydro-Boost – £34

I didn’t really buy into Hydraluron when it hit the market, thinking it did a good job but that it pilled and was a bit too sticky to be enjoyable to use. So I was thrilled when REN brought out a product to do the same job in Flash Hydro-Boost, one that in my opinion is a delight to slather all over your skin.

Charged by water, this hydration booster uses Hyaluronic acid (the magical moisture-carrying ingredient) and Xylitol to maximise moisture levels and prevent the ageing effects of dehydration. I use this twice a week when my skin is feeling particularly thirsty and always note the plumper, fuller appearance. It’s a fab night-time treat.

REN Glycolic Radiance Renewal Mask – £32

This mask really is one of the best REN products: it does something joyous to my skin, leaving it glowing like a teenagers’. I use it as part of my weekly facial routine, slathering it on while I’m in the bath, and I can vouch for its claims to improve skin tone and radiance while minimising pores and smoothing wrinkles.

The mask employs a blend of Glycolic, Lactic, Citric and Tartaric acids which deeply exfoliate and decongest. It also contains Omegas 3 and 7 to nourish and sooth, ensuring post-mask skin is calm.

In a nutshell: this product is amazing. Buy it now, if not sooner.

REN Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream – £20

I like my moisturisers to be simple and effective after my complicated routine of multiple cleansers, acid toner, eye cream and serum and REN Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream fits the bill to perfection. The multi-active cream replenishes skin using antioxidants  (Tocotrienols from Arctic Cranberry Seed Oil) and Vitamins (P and F) to sooth, decongest, protect the skin as well as reduce skin sensitivity.

Skin is left looking fit, radiant and youthful without feeling clogged or congested. A brilliant catch-all daily moisturiser.

  2. I’m a big fan of the Ever Calm cleasning milk as a gentle, no nonsense cleanser. The glycoactic mask is GREAT, been using that for years. Haven’t tried the hydro-boost, usually use the Indeed Labs one, so will put that on my list to try next. REN are a great brand.
