I started More Than Toast in October 2009 as a knee-jerk reaction to a positive pregnancy test, and have been writing about life, pregnancy and motherhood since. This blog has seen me through some hard times – from PND to Divorce, house moves and life changes – and some really happy ones, too!
MTT has evolved into a space where I write not just about motherhood, but beauty, love, interiors and travel, and has some 60,000 monthly visitors. Though it is now a commercially-run website it will always be a place driven by a love for storytelling, and it serves as a wonderful record of mine and my children’s lives.
Through MTT I’ve been lucky enough to appear on television (Sky News and the Alan Titchmarsh show, be proud!) and radio (BBC R4’s Women’s Hour, LBC, Radio 5 Live) and write for huge publishing powerhouses like The Telegraph, where I have a column, and Buzzfeed. I’ve also worked with some of my favourite brands including Waitrose, John Lewis, Topshop, Homesense, IKEA and Mark Warner.
On this blog you might see sponsored content, or items/trips I have been offered in free in exchange for review. However, I only write about things I am interested in, and all paid-for content is declared as such. Some links you click on may be affiliate.
I’ve worked in the online world for the last 12 years for huge media conglomerates (Digital Manager – VICE / Digital Manager – IKEA Family Live) and have worked at Director Level within the digital Ad industry (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), and currently extend my freelance experience to encompass speaking and consulting gigs. If you have a project that could benefit from my decade-long expertise in this field feel free to drop me an email.
If you’d like to talk about working together on sponsored content here at More Than Toast, email me and I will send over my media kit.
