The All-In Kitchen

March 3, 2015

Have you been to a pop-up restaurant yet?

If you haven’t you’re doing something wrong as they still seem to be the trendiest way to dine well into 2015. They’re everywhere now and range from the spectacular to the not-so-spectacular, but today I’m here to tell you about a pop-up restaurant of the VERY spectacular variety.

Now, my poker face needs a bit of work (I’m literally terrible at any form of gambling that involves a little bit of skill) but my very good friend Jamie is one of the best poker players you’ll ever meet. Not only does she beat some of the world’s most accomplished players but she tutors as well – accomplished in all aspects of poker.

Which is why I’m delighted to introduce to you a brand new concept… The All-In Kitchen, uniting poker with gourmet food!

Coming from PokerStars and Jones & Sons and celebrating the new season of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour, this new concept of pop-up is the world’s first pay-by-poker restaurant: you play poker to determine how much you pay for your meal.

The first All-In Kitchen was a roaring success in London and there are now plans to roll out this unique experience nationwide across all the UK and Ireland Poker Tour stops this season.

Here’s how it works:

First, you play three hands of poker.
Then, what you pay is based on how many chips you have at the end of those three hands. That could be £10, £5 or absolutely nothing, all complements of PokerStars.

Even if you bust out in the first hand with a poker face like mine you’re still only paying £10 for a great three course meal, normally worth about £50 a head, with a cocktail to compliment it. Everyone’s a winner, even if you’re also a loser!

Just have a look at the menu: fancy a Royal Flush of King Crab Thermidor, Queen Scallops accompanied by Salt Baked Swede and Bacon Marmalade, 4 Of A Kind of Lamb Chops, Rump, Kidney and Shoulder With A Rosemary Jus or even a 2 Pair of Pear Tarte Tatin, Pear Caramel and Ice Cream? Delicious!

Watch out for details of where you can see the All-In Kitchen on tour!

The event is meant for customers to have fun. Poker at this event is optional and no money is wagered during the poker element of the experience. You can rock up and soak up the atmosphere and pay full price for you meal, or you have the option of playing a few hands and winning your meal for less or completely FREE.
